- Intumescent flame retardant, halogen free, for polypropylene and polyethylene.
Nachflame 2000 is easy to handle, ready-to-use and it is not necessary to add other synergists. It
has good dispersion properties so that relatively low addition levels are required to achieve level
VO UL94 1.6 mm.
The product develops low smoke during extrusion and has a high thermal stability. Nachflame 2000 is
also available as dust-free granules (Nachflame 2000-ND). Generally, recommended using to supply
the powder grade, because it has superior dispersion properties to the granular version.
Nevertheless, still low addition rates are necessary.
Typical addition level:
25% in polypropylene filled with talcum (for VO at 1.6 mm - UL94)
