From the Beginnings to Product Diversity
It all started in 1976 when TRIGON Chemie GmbH was founded as the sales arm of Pentagon Chemicals (UK) Ltd. Pentagon Chemicals began producing benzoate salts and esters based on a waste stream of methyl benzoate – a pioneering example of sustainable thinking long before “sustainability” became a popularised. TRIGON Chemie introduced products such as sodium and potassium benzoate, benzyl benzoate and butyl benzoate to supply the food, chemical, and textile industries. The company quickly earned a reputation for reliability and quality, at competitive prices.
International Networking and New Markets
With Pentagon coming under new ownership and the corresponding restructuring, new opportunities opened up for TRIGON Chemie. TRIGON Chemie built strategic partnerships in Germany, the USA, Spain, India, and China. At the same time, the product portfolio was systematically expanded and adapted to the requirements of various markets – from plastics and coatings to the fireworks industry.
This international network enabled TRIGON Chemie to adapt its products to customer needs with utmost flexibility whilst maintaining high standards of quality.
